Early View of Milwaukee Road Bridge at Beverly
Not sure of the date, but note there is no catenary.
Great picture, thanks for sharing it. That's quite a striking area the Milwaukee built through.

Still looks nearly the same, except for a few more trees across the river.
ReplyDeleteI have another early photo showing the bridge under construction, with a paddle-wheeler steamboat underneath. It is around here somewhere...
