Interesting. My lot appears to be about plot #15. This was way before Rock Island Dam (and a couple of pool raises) was built, so I assume some of the back lost up against the hillside are now under water.
Yup. The canal (now the back ponds) run on the main channel the Columbia cut when it was blocked by the Malaga (Ice Age) slide. The ponds are seep ponds and began to fill when the pool behind the dam was created (1933). When the height was increased in the early 80's, the ponds grew, Hamond Lake taking out part of the golf course when it did. Comparing this with the 1948 (?) plat you posted a year or so ago shows major differences.
