Blair says: "The sun is just reaching the floor of the coulee as the walls close in on BN's Mansfield Local, beginning its climb up the 2.2% grade to the top of the Columbia Plateau. Seen here, the train is just beyond Palisades, behind a pair of ex-NP GP9's and a solid string of empty 40' grain loading boxcars trailing."
Great phots, Blair. Absolutely great. After the Milwaukee Road vacated "Lines West" it was tough for me to be enthused about railroading in this neck of the woods. I obviously regret my temporary lack of interest after seeing your great shots. And great shots they are.
