Where NP and BN banned 6 axle power, now we see former Santa Fe SD40-2s.
First view is along Wheeler Rd near the old Simplot plant (there's a new one now too, both in operation.)
Coming up the former Milwaukee Road sugar spur after setting out cars at Seiler. That's Interstate 90 crossing above.

Do you know why NP and BN banned 6 axle power on this trackage? I know when i worked for US Navy RR Shelton to Bremerton/Bangor, we stopped using 6 axle power on many sections of our on base track due to tight radius curves and turnouts. The 6 axle power would spread the tracks over time and exceed max gauge.
Tight curves and light rail.
BNSF did the same thing in the Renton Boeing plant, till they derailed while delivering fuselages-in the plant! Took them 3 days for cleanup and open the tracks back up!
GP's only now, lol!
Gonna be nothing but SD40-2s here real quick.
Cool!
