2013 Quincy Depot Walkaround

Since this might be the month for the demolition of this depot, I took the opportunity to go to Quincy and take photos of this 1959 built structure.

The last three pictures were taken through the window, as the building was locked up tight.

Great Northern Tunnel 12

Early postcard view of Rock Island Dam under construction. It was completed in 1933. What caught my eye is the railroad tunnel on the left hand side of the photo. The tracks are still there, but the tunnel was daylighted in 1957.
