This site features daily historical railroad posts from the Big Bend/Columbia Plateau region of Washington state. As a personal site, this is my online filing cabinet of interesting things I've come across about railroading in the area. Thanks for stopping by! Shoutout to Kirtus Dolorina for stopping by to borrow other people's work!

Thanks for posting this. I didn't know that Riverland existed. I remember crossing the tracks there on Highway 24 in 1961, or so, and then continuing on to the Vernita Ferry and crossing the Columbia River. By then, much of Riverland must have been demolished. Also, on google maps, one can clearly see where the Vernita ferry used to run.
Wow, nothing left. Thanks Dan.
