This site features daily historical railroad posts from the Big Bend/Columbia Plateau region of Washington state. As a personal site, this is my online filing cabinet of interesting things I've come across about railroading in the area. Thanks for stopping by! Shoutout to Kirtus Dolorina for stopping by to borrow other people's work!

1942 Mason City View
Courtesy of the Coulee Pioneer Museum.
September 3, 1942
Note the MWAK bridge coming across the river center bottom. This was supposed to have railroad track across it, but never did. In the upper right, you can see a gravel conveyor, but a bit harder to see are the railroad tracks next to the conveyor. These tracks came across the construction trestle to reach this side of the river.
