This site features daily historical railroad posts from the Big Bend/Columbia Plateau region of Washington state. As a personal site, this is my online filing cabinet of interesting things I've come across about railroading in the area. Thanks for stopping by!
Shoutout to Kirtus Dolorina for stopping by to borrow other people's work!

What's Up In Warden?
April 5, 2025
Old power going away. Unit train of some sort delivered by big BNSF units. First time I've seen those here!
What are the "bar things" over the air intakes on the BNSF units? Apparently I can't post a picture with them highlighted. A Youtube video of 6947 in 2022 does not have them.

Sad to see them old SD's leaving, but hopefully to another good home.
Looked up "SLAL" , South Plains Lamesa in Slaton, TX. Looks like that's where the locos are heading?
SLAL are the new reporting marks.
Looks hot there.
Yeah, really hot!

Mike, I got your email. I think those might be handrails?
