BN F Units Near Creston

Blair says: "Exhaust and kicked-up volcanic ash billows skyward as the eastbound CW Local enters Creston, Washington, on its return to Spokane from Coulee City in the fall of 1980. Residents of eastern Washington are still dealing with the blanket of fallout from May's Mount Saint Helens eruption. Five F-units and a pair of GP's have a train of mostly 40-foot boxcars loaded with wheat in tow."
