I've featured
photos of this location before, but I just came across an aerial image from 1955 showing the current bridge under construction, and the shoofly around the site fully in service, without a way for the highway below to get through the location. My guess, at this time, is the highway was new enough to still be closed to allow for the permanent bridge to be completed.
