1920 Douglas Depot Hit By Runaway Passenger Car

February 26, 1920.

Runaway passenger car on the Waterville Railway wound up on the stub track into the GN depot at Douglas. Gave it a good clobbering. Opened the whole wall and knocked the building off it's foundation. Passengers on the car had noted they were making unusually good time on the mostly downgrade 5 mile line from Waterville to Douglas.
