Difference Of Decades Adrian Turntable And Roundhouse

Vintage photos courtesy of the NP Telltale.

Figuring 1924 for the vintage shots, 2018 for the current views.

It took me a moment to realize that Bridge 59, in the background that crosses the GN and Crab Creek was far larger back then than today, where you can see that a large portion of the lower southern trestle was filled in.

I didn't feel to bad about getting my shadow, as it helped match the vintage view.

Finding the turntable pit is easy, but there is NO evidence of the roundhouse having stood here. Perhaps a metal detector would help locate a few bits of history, but to walk around in the tall sagebrush, nothing could be found.
