This site features daily historical railroad posts from the Big Bend/Columbia Plateau region of Washington state. As a personal site, this is my online filing cabinet of interesting things I've come across about railroading in the area.
I know it's easy to grab an image from here and post it elsewhere, like Steve Renfrow does, but if you do, could you at least give this site a little credit?

Iron Horse Plays Important Roll In Construction Of Great Dam
That was a great story about a line that I wish I could have ridden on before it was removed. Walking it now just isn't the same. I was wondering if there is any information on what kind of power the NP was using during this time. Two locomotives for 42 cars seems like it was probably something lighter than a 2-8-2 Mikado. Maybe a 2-6-2?

That is information I wish I could find. I hope something turns up as the NPRHA continues to scan their records.
