This site features daily historical railroad posts from the Big Bend/Columbia Plateau region of Washington state. As a personal site, this is my online filing cabinet of interesting things I've come across about railroading in the area. Thanks for stopping by!
Shoutout to Kirtus Dolorina for stopping by to borrow other people's work!
When I worked for the DOD railroad at Submarine Base Bangor, we took my youngest son's preschool for a ride on the 12 miles of on base track. Part of the kids in the cab (EMD switcher) and part in the caboose. My son is 32 now but some of those kids still talk about that trip when I see them. Fun times!

I'd be looking forward to that as well!
Lucky kids!
All I got was a lousy ride in a JAL 747 as a sixth-grader. Lame!
