"Sunrise with the CW Local. Climbing the hill into Hanson Washington, having left Almira a little before with a fresh relief crew on out of Spokane.
"No place can one feel so alive than standing with your feet in the soil amid wheat fields the wind gently blowing, the sun making its first efforts to warm the day's air. It'll be a hot one by afternoon."

I know that feeling! Following the ex-Milw EB pn the gravel roads back in the 90's I got lost east of Ritzville and just stopped at a 4-way gravel intersection, but I didn't feel panicked cause it was a beautiful afternoon just like this pic, and it was so calming and quiet!
I think I know where you were at!
Yeah, middle of nowhere!!
I just kept heading west, and went right into Ritzville, good thing there was a gas station!
