The Man For Whom Cady Pass Is Named

From the Wenatchee "World."

August 22, 2012

You might be wondering why I've run so far off the rails here describing a mountain pass in the Cascades. Well, as a history nerd of the Seattle, Lake Shore & Eastern, Cady Pass was the route to be taken in that line's quest to cross the state. No one else is going to document something like this, so here it is.

The article Mr. Woods referenced from Dorothy Schroeder:
From the Everett "Herald."

Map of the SLSE that I posted back in 2013.

Note Cady Pass marked between Wenatchee and Snohomish.

Yet more history I learn from your page Dan!

Never heard of this before, woulda' been interesting if they'd seen this thru!

Interesting, surprised some model railroader hasn't incorporated this in a nice layout.
