This site features daily historical railroad posts from the Big Bend/Columbia Plateau region of Washington state. As a personal site, this is my online filing cabinet of interesting things I've come across about railroading in the area. Thanks for stopping by!

Tracks in Grand Coulee
Note you can see the Safeway store in both images, and in the second image, Safeway is now currently located approximately where the car near the center of the photo is.
Tracks were fully in use by 1931 and were ripped out about 20 years later. My knowledge of old cars is limited, but I can guess to the area of around the end of WWII. I can't get more specific, and the source of the photos didn't know either.

Do you have dates for these two photos? I now own a piece of property that you can see in part in both photos. Thanks!
