This site features daily historical railroad posts from the Big Bend/Columbia Plateau region of Washington state. As a personal site, this is my online filing cabinet of interesting things I've come across about railroading in the area. Thanks for stopping by!

1954 Marcellus Branch Train Order and Clearance Card
Interesting times, indeed. The fine folks behind the Eastern Washington Gateway, current operators of the old CW Branch of the NP to Coulee City, were quite interested in the Columbia Basin Railway possibly being for sale. They know that both lines were once connected, and that the CBRW has a healthy traffic base, not just grain like the EWG.

I fell behind in the blog and just caught this - thanks for sharing it as always. Interesting times on the C-WA it seems too.
