This site features daily historical railroad posts from the Big Bend/Columbia Plateau region of Washington state. As a personal site, this is my online filing cabinet of interesting things I've come across about railroading in the area. Thanks for stopping by!

The photo is from 1913, which is the same year the spur off the Milwaukee was completed. The line mainly existed to get fruit from the orchards at White Bluffs and Hanford up to Yakima, but they were mixed hauls in that they carried both passengers and fruit (and mail).
