This site features daily historical railroad posts from the Big Bend/Columbia Plateau region of Washington state. As a personal site, this is my online filing cabinet of interesting things I've come across about railroading in the area. Thanks for stopping by! --Dan Bolyard

1948 Dry Coulee Siphon
Photo shows the Dry Coulee Siphon and related canal being constructed by the Winston Brother and Utah Construction. At this point the canal crosses the Northern Pacific branch about 2 miles north of Adrian and a mile north of Adco. A construction spur was placed here that was noted on NP timetables at the time as Winston-Utah.
