This site features daily historical railroad posts from the Big Bend/Columbia Plateau region of Washington state. As a personal site, this is my online filing cabinet of interesting things I've come across about railroading in the area. Thanks for stopping by!
Shoutout to Kirtus Dolorina for stopping by to borrow other people's work!

Southern Pacific 4449 / BNSF Employee Appreciation Special eastbound at Quincy, Washington.
If it had compound air pumps on the front, it could pass for a GN loco!!
Dad and I chased this from Everett up to Skykomish for it's stop there, then stood on the US 2 bridge at West Portal and caught it there-best day ever with my Dad! I even had my pics printed in b&w, lol!
