This site features daily historical railroad posts from the Big Bend/Columbia Plateau region of Washington state. As a personal site, this is my online filing cabinet of interesting things I've come across about railroading in the area. Thanks for stopping by!
Shoutout to Kirtus Dolorina for stopping by to borrow other people's work!
Back when I worked for DOD railroad at Subase Bangor , (now Naval Base Kitsap) Ceeco did a couple rebuilds/upgrades on our old Baldwin switcher and our SW1. They did good work! Agree with Kurt, they always had some interesting stuff in their yard.

Good read! I can't believe i had never read this one before!
It was just a few years ago!
I remember this article, too bad Ceeco isn't still there-loved going down there to see what locos they were working on, always something cool!
I hadn't picked up a copy of Trains yet, back then. I was solidly in the Railfan & Railroad mag crowd.

I try to drive by Western Rail now to see what's lying about. I hear good things about them.
