This site features daily historical railroad posts from the Big Bend/Columbia Plateau region of Washington state. As a personal site, this is my online filing cabinet of interesting things I've come across about railroading in the area. 1949 Aerial View Near Coulee City 2
This is another part of the same photo in the previous post. This shows the west end of the South Dam, and shows the highway interchange for what is now US 2 and SR 17, but in their previous location. You can make out the Central Washington grades going up the side of the hill. You can make out the competing Seattle Lake Shore & Eastern grade, which is the one not near as complete as the CW.
