This site features daily historical railroad posts from the Big Bend/Columbia Plateau region of Washington state. As a personal site, this is my online filing cabinet of interesting things I've come across about railroading in the area.
I know it's easy to grab an image from here and post it elsewhere, like Steve Renfrow does, but if you do, could you at least give this site a little credit?

Othello Artifacts
These two boxcars did not leave on the last Milwaukee Road train out of the state. They are now used for storage outside an Othello home.
I am not sure if these were just forgotten about and left behind when the MILW shutdown their Western Lines. At the time in the early 1980's I was living in Suburban Chicago and there were 100+ locomotives that were moved East stored in their Bensenville IL yard. I have pictures of them somewhere. I would have to guess most went to scrap but the Illinois Railway Museum bought an operational FP-7 for $5000.00 as the MILW was in no shape then to donate it they still use it today.

Great find Dan, thanks. I always did like the ribsides
They'll be donated to the Cascade Rail Foundation.
