This site features daily historical railroad posts from the Big Bend/Columbia Plateau region of Washington state. As a personal site, this is my online filing cabinet of interesting things I've come across about railroading in the area. Thanks for stopping by!

Dang, nice picture here-beautiful sky with puffy clouds, halfway clean lookin' SD40-2's, and those Ribsiders behind! Looks to be late 70's, catenary is gone, just the poles and supports. If I recall, I heard they had the wires up AND energized for awhile after to discourage thieves from snagging the copper!
