Blair says:
"The shortlining of the Cheney-Coulee City branch by BNSF was a long way in the future, as BN's Coulee City local assembles a train of 40-foot grain boxes for the return trip to the mainline at the end of the branch, Coulee City, Washington, on October 11, 1980--only 40 years and 10 days ago! Five F-units and a pair of Geeps are in command, ready for the challenge of getting the progressively longer and heavier train over hill and dale across the Central Washington scab land."
