I had come across this photo of Mr. Harris and his engineer standing at the depot at Coulee City. I used it in my book, thinking it was simply a great photo.
This last fall I was thumbing through a few editions of old NP Telltales, including this one:
On page 6, was a picture announcing the retirement of Harris:
