This site features daily historical railroad posts from the Big Bend/Columbia Plateau region of Washington state. As a personal site, this is my online filing cabinet of interesting things I've come across about railroading in the area.
I know it's easy to grab an image from here and post it elsewhere, like Steve Renfrow does, but if you do, could you at least give this site a little credit?

1964 GN Train At Trinidad View
Photographer unknown.
Likely early 1964, considering the GP35, number 3018, next to last of the string of power, looks fairly new.
Another great photo. Thanks! That bridge looks the same today as it did then. I lived in Yakima back in those days, and was always envious that GN and MILW had modern GP30s, and the NP just had older F units on their thru freights. Needless to say, I was an excited thirteen year old when the NP finally bought brand new U25Cs in 1964.

They were pretty fond of those, as I understand.
